Our Year 5 Debate Team took part in the first regional round of the STEP Debating Championship at Turnham Academy today, proposing that ‘This house believes there should be harsher consequences for bullying behaviour.’

After the delivery of well-constructed arguments on both sides, our Angel Oak Academicians were judged to be the winners. Everyone involved commented on the high levels of enthusiasm and preparation from all teams and pupils are now looking forward to hosting the second round in Peckham in a few weeks’ time.
