Welcome to Angel Oak Academy, a centre of academic excellence located in Peckham.

Our school name is inspired by William Blake’s vision on Peckham Rye of ‘A tree filled with angels, bright angelic wings bespangling every bough like stars.’

Since joining the STEP Academy Trust in 2015, Angel Oak has been one of the top performing schools in the country in terms of children’s academic progress. We were recognised as an ‘outstanding’ school by Ofsted in 2017.

Since then, the school has continued to flourish, and our approach to teaching and learning has drawn national recognition.
