Extra-Curricular, Trips & Activities

At Angel Oak Academy, we aim to provide a range of experiences beyond the classroom.

Teachers plan trips and visits which further embed learning in specific areas of the curriculum or that offer a broader understanding of a concept.  We take advantage of our location and make visits within the local area, where beneficial to learning.  

The list below maps out our planned trips and visitors for the 2023/24 academic year. These may be subject to change.

Teachers look for opportunities to invite visitors into the academy for first-hand experiences in school and our clubs offer aims to cover sports, music and arts across the year.  Additional opportunities are mapped out and some examples of previous years' activities are shown below.

Wrap Around Care

Angel Oak Academy offers both a Breakfast Club and After School Club to parents and carers to care for their children out of school hours in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.  Children can learn and relax before and after school with a choice of healthy drinks and snacks during each session.  They are cared for by a team of qualified staff.

Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am to 8:45am daily and is priced at £1.50 per day.

Payment should be made in advance daily or weekly via ParentMail.

After School Club runs from 3:30pm to 6:30pm daily and is priced at £7.00 per day (£35.00 per week).

Payment should be made in advance daily or weekly via ParentMail.

Places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and only available to Reception children from the second half of the Autumn Term.
