Leadership Team

Orlagh McCarthy began her teaching career within STEP Academy Trust, training and completing her NQT year at Gonville Academy before joining the Angel Oak team in 2017.  

Orlagh was a class teacher at Angel Oak Academy before moving into leadership as Assistant Headteacher and was part of the academy team in place when the school was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in 2017.

Orlagh holds a BSc in Psychology from Queen's University, Belfast and a PGCE from UCL.  She has also obtained an MA in Education: Leading Innovation and Change from St Mary's University, Twickenham.  Orlagh has worked alongside the STEP Teaching School Hub in her role as visiting fellow.
