At Angel Oak, we are committed to anti-racism and we voice our right to have our opinions heard. As such, we took part in Wear Red Day 2025 today, alongside the organisation Show Racism the Red Card and all of our fellow STEP academies across the Trust.
Angel Oak academicians had the following points:
“Racism is not good for our community. We are supposed to share love and positivity.” Grace, 5O
“Black and white people can have the same responsibilities.” Comfort, 2O
“I know that racism is discrimination but together we can make it better.” Macie, 4V
“Never in a million years should we be racist. People have rights and deserve to be treated fairly.” Zuhayra, 6K
“It doesn’t matter if you’re Black, white or Mixed Heritage. We are all equal.” Muin, 4B
