Professor Kathy Rastle, Professor of Cognitive Psychology at Royal Holloway, visited Angel Oak Academy this morning.

Professor Rastle gained some insight into our teaching of reading from Reception to Year 6 with a particular focus on the teaching of vocabulary.  Afterwards, Professor Rastle said that she 'found the discipline, consistency and high energy of your lessons really inspiring.'

We hope to continue working with Professor Rastle on a morphology project and possibly support the development of resources that may be useful to teachers in our classrooms.
