Lion King

To promote the cultural capital of our pupils and with the context of the curriculum our Year 1 pupils will be attending a performance of the Lion King at Lyceum Theatre on the 15th March 2017.

School Games Award

We are very proud Angel Oak Academy has achieved the Silver School Mark Award  for their commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2015/16. In 2016/17 we are going for gold!

London Living Wage

The STEP Academy Trust is proud to say that our support for the London living wage continues, and we now have everybody within The STEP Academy Trust earning the London Living Wage as a minimum.

“Paying the London Living Wage is not only morally right, but makes good business sense too. There are now over 2,200 employees working for companies with contracts from the GLA who are benefitting from the London Living Wage”

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London

Changes to dropping off and picking up procedures.

In light of the recent attempted child abductions in the Southwark area, the Local Authority has asked us to review our safeguarding arrangements.  As a result, we are adjusting our dropping off and picking up procedures.

The Chandler Way gate will remain locked until further notice and the school can only be accessed from the main entrance.

Morning Drop Off –

Children assemble in the playground as normal but will not be accompanied by parents or carers beyond the fenced area.  If you wish to remain with your child please wait in the area in front of the fencing.  If you would like to send a message to your child’s teacher, please do so via the school office.

Afternoon pick up –

This will remain as normal.  Teachers will accompany classes to the playground where parents may wait and pick up their children.  Please remember that it will not be possible to leave or access the school via the Chandler Way gate.

Thank you for your cooperation.
